Ciao! We are your 2 chefs Alex and Matteo… a quite fun (if you ask us) married couple living between California and Tuscany in Italy.

Matteo hails from his family’s hotel-restaurant in Italy, in business since 1906. Alex (a Californian but now basically Italian) was lucky enough to meet Matteo, first being serenaded by his plates of pasta, and then learning to cook Italian cuisine herself.

Alex moved to Italy in 2013 where she learned Italian language, learned Matteo’s family’s cooking philosophy, and fell in love with the rich culture and traditions behind Italian food.

Now Alex and Matteo proudly “export” the food and culture to California throughout the year through cooking classes like this one and private dinner experiences.

We are proud to have a very “word-of-mouth” business and to be interviewed on Podcasts and YouTube channels, such as the Little Italy of Los Angeles.

When we aren’t in California, you can find us back in Italy welcoming guests (including many Californians) at our family hotel-restaurant in Tuscany.
